Need your help this time please.... usually the shoe is on the other foot so to speak...he he
My CDR at work is on the fritz and I needed to burn some Installshield programs I created, so I took them home this weekend and now the problems...
OK I just downloaded and installed Nero 5.5 so I'm a demo user. I followed the very simple .PDF instructions to create a data CD.
After burning my CD the CD ejects and I get a message saying it's burned ok and is done. When I insert it back into the CDR drive
or my regular CDROM drive and open My Computer my system locks up tight with an eternal hourglass and nothing appears.
I cannot do end task nor a soft boot, I have to power it down with a hard boot and restart. When I come back to My Computer and insert
the disk I just made it works fine and dandy in either drive and my burned data is all there.
I checked Ahead & searched this forum and found no answers. Also media type doesn't seem to matter I tried TDK and Office Depot
CDR's with equal reaults. I'd like to buy Nero, but this experience has turned me off to paying good $$$ for these kinds of problems
and I could never recomend this to my boss for a site license. Maybe it would different as we use WinNT 4.0 at work.
Also as a secondary issue, when I try to clone one copy to another Nero says the media in the source is not valid even though the system can now read it perfectly.
Why does it hang so badly right after burning the CD and I'm not able to copy CD to CD ? Any help appreciated. If not, then after I burn the CD's I need I guess Nero gets whacked from my computer.
System:
P3 650
Win 98 SE (all updated patches installed)
Abit BX6-R2
256 PC 100 ram
30 gig Maxtor
9310 HP CDRW (10 x 4 x 32) I think ?
Creative 48x CDROM
