In Nero CD DVD speed under extra there is a option to erase a RW disk then there are 2 other options. Erase(Quick or full) or Format(quick or full) What's the difference?
 
Sorry, I didn't read your post correctly. I think formatting is for packet writing apps, like Nero's InCD.
