Nero Burns VCD But Cannot Verify Data After Burning?!

Hi,
I use the latest version of Nero Burining Rom. I burn VCD, but Nero's option for "Verify Data After Writing" disappears when I burn VCD. That option is available when I burn data. Is there any way to verify data after burning a VCD? I tried Nero Express also, and that option is grey out when I burn VCD as well.

Thank you for your help.

I asked about how-to verify the data on a DVD the other day but didn't get any response :( I figured it out though via google.
In Nero Ultra edition they have a program under Toolkit call "Nero CD-DVD Speed"(not DriveSpeed), open that, go to Extra --> Scan Disc, put a check mark in File Test.

Please report back whether or not it works on VCDs. I was doing this on a data disk.

Thanks and good luck.

Yes, I installed that version already. Same thing, there is nothing wrong with the VCD burning. It's just that I can't ask Nero to "verify data after burning" when I am burning VCD. I can do that when I am burning non-VCD disc.

No, doesn't work. The problem is only for VCD, it is never a problem with data disk.

I have a similar problem burning ISOs. The verify option isn't there. The wierd thing is, if I burn them using DvdDecrypter (which uses Nero to do the actual burning), then the verify option shows up. I wish there was just a separate verify function that you can run independent of burning.

The verify function only works when you're burning a data disc, not image files or video format discs. I think verify works by checking the original files against the files on the newly written disc. When you're burning an image, Nero doesn't have the original files to compare with.

Personally, I skip Nero's verifier and check discs with DVD Info Pro's error checking function.
