Nero Burning Speeds

Ok I have a CD Burner and a DVD Burner...My CD Burner can Burn up to 48X...I have some maxwell blank CDR's but they only burn at 24X...I put the Maxwell's in the DVD burner and they Burn at 32X...Y is that

Different burners "recognize" the media inserted in them and that helps the burner determine what speed it'll burn that media at. If you have doubts, flash the drive with a newer firmware or you can get hacked firmwares that let you pick the speeds more.

Where is the best place to get firmwares??? Its A NEC NR 9200A
