Nero Burning Problems

I had been using Nero, with Win XP and a Liteon 48x-12x-48x, for three weeks without any problems then..
I first started getting "Power calibration error" and then "Write error" messages when I tried to burn a CD.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

You tried a different CDR or CD-RW disc to burn, also try the XP built-in burn software ,see if that works with it,if not it`s possible your burner has gone faulty.

Nero is faulty period. It's terrible software in my opinion. Roxio are the only people who make a decent burning software and their last best was Easy CD Creator 4, 5 has glitches galore.

idnyt, how strange. I think most people, including, me would argue the reverse (that Nero is far more stable than Easy CD)

LOL. Have you ever actually used Nero? Or just crying because you couldn't figure it out? I've never had any problems with it.... unlike Easy CD.

I think Nero is way better then EZ cd destroyer, however I think that disc juggler 4 pro. is better than nero when you learn all the settings.

I've not had a problem with Nero, but then again I've only burned around 50 CD's with it, all of which have done what they were meant to. My only major complaint was it's automatic converting of mp3's so the CD would work in a normal CD player, wait that's a good point. Oh yeah, Nero is bloody brilliant!

I tried my older Plextor CDR and it works with no problems. So it looks like the Liteon burner has gone south. IHow hard is it to RMA something with Newegg?

Very easy. Just call them or email them. Although, you better get ahold of them quick before your return date expires. I haven't tried RMAing anything with them after that point.

I RMA'd my goddamn k7s5a twice (!) on newegg. second time it was two months after purchase. they did not blink and gave me a full refund (!). Love the newegg service

anyway, I was having a problem with nero making mp3 disks for my Rio Volt. the volt would hang up after playing 2 or 3 mp3's. EZCD makes disks just fine. anyone seen this ? know what the issue?
