Stay with the last version of Nero 6 ... Nero 7 is very bloated
takes up about 3 times the space, I think it has a lousy looking
interface and there are problems with recording audio cd's
Sometimes you get a skipping in the burned cd. Depends on
the computer and what brand of cd drive ... Nero 6 did not
have that problem and can also do DVD Dual Layer if your
burner can.

If you're just recording dvds/cd then no. If you're using recode to make mp4 files and the such I would say yes.

I just uninstalled 7 Ultra and went back to 6. Nero 7 is the definition of bloatware. It is big, bloated and doesn't work right. They can't even get it to update correctly

I agree with the others, Nero is just going down the toilet. I have found ashampoo suite 6 as a great alternative to the now fallen Nero. Download it and try it out... Free for 14 days, then I think it is like 20 or 30 bucks.
