Nero 5.5 and 6.6 differences?

I'm currently using Nero 5.5 to burn CDs and DVDs. Since I'm not burning any Dual Layer DVDs, I figured it wouldn't really be any different. However, I have a 12X Optorite burner that only burns at 8X for some reason.

What are the differences with the two Nero versions? Will upgrading to 6.6 allow me to burn faster?

I've been wondering the same thing myself -- I'm still using Nero 5.5 with an 8x Liteon burner. What advantages are there for upgrading to Nero 6.x if my current version burns fine?

Bug fixes, a burn speed increase, additional features offered by the newer version. Same reasons you upgrade from older versions to newerer versions of any software really.
