Anyone remember this?

I used Total Commander (formally Windows Commander) now, exclusively.

Was that anything like XTree Gold? I used to love that program - it had some neat features that I wished had been included in Windows Explorer.

Yea it was very similar except there was an emphasis on the dual windows to allow for file management.

I remember it and the file Manager!!!

Although I must admit, it was fun for a while, but i wen back to command line and batch, i was more comfortable with them.

weird thing, I still use xcopy for deploy files to server...

Same here. That is still a useful command in a lot of batch files I write.

i remember that, but i never understood the appeal of norton commander, everyone else i knew loved it, but i could just type the command lines in faster it seems (or i still dont get it).
