Nerd alert?

I remember enjoying the this Fox TV series when I was younger. I was thinking about it recently, and found the 1 season series on DVD and purchased it.

Watching it now, I'm still impressed with the show....

Anyone else remember it?
Why was it canceled after only 1 season? It was a good show!

I remember the season ending show was a total cliff-hanger.... then NO more shows!?

For being on TV during the 95-96 season, it definately was a show that should have had at least more than 1 season. It was dark, and exciting IMO.

Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles ended when the bugs had invaded Earth, right before the climactic battle that we only get hints of in the commentary. The last words in the script are "...and we were going to need it. The end, humanity's last stand, was just around the corner..."

I've never seen that show...

But from remembering the Starship Troopers movie, Space: Above and Beyond kind of reminds me a tiny bit of it... Just this series is really dark. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it.

Sweet, I'll check it out. Likewise for STC, although it is an all CG kid's show. That said, it's the most hardcore kid's show I've ever seen. Like Beast Wars, only more serious and about 10x better IMO. The nostalgia factor gets me over the relatively rampant cliches.
