When I was looking for a car, I test drove a Grand Am (which I eventually bought), then I went and test drove a Neon. Let me tell you, the Neon SUCKED. I have never driven a worst POS in my life. It has only 60 miles on it, but there must have been something seriously wrong with the engine because I had to push the peddle half way down to even accelerate decent. I was on the freeway and there was a small hill to go over, I almost had to floor it to get up the hill. I returned the car, told the guy about it and he just mentioned that it was a 4 cyl, what do you expect? My Grand Am is a 4 cyl, and this thing has 200x the power that Neon had. That just totally scarred me.
SRT4 did that?

No, actually it was an SXT, but that really scared me. I couldn't justify any neon after that ride.

Sorry but there's no way you'd bitch about a lack of power if you drove the SRT.

Mentioning the N/A 4 cyl in this thread is pointless, since the Turbo 2.4 is leaps and bounds away from it's N/A cousin in terms of power.
Yeah they're totally different cars. I don't blame you for disliking the neon with the standard crappy 4 cylinder. Those things shouldn't even be on the road. Ditto for cavaliers and sunfires. In fact domestic econoboxes personally offend me (SRT4 not included).
