So my neighbor tells me that they received a red envelope in the mail. It's fairly small but it's a package. There's stuff inside. It feels soft, they say. There's no name but there's a return address (somewhere in Washington). Their names are not addressed on the envelope but their address is (obviously). It's all handwritten. The envelope itself is handmade. There's been some stuff that's been going on around the apartment building lately so they're a little worried.

What should they do?

*update*: It was a love poem of some kind. They're checking to see if it's a famous one or something. Apparently one of them has a secret admirer/stalker or something.

*update2*:
The neighbors don't want the poem published because they're paranoid and as such, would rather keep most of this stuff as low key as possible. It was not a love poem, just some puzzling thing.

The title of the poem has the same meaning as "female burning" (they don't want me to use the actual title for fear that the writer may google it). The handwriting seems like that of a guy, though the contents suggest that it was done by a female. That's all they want me to disclose.

They don't like being the subject of this kind of attention. Though now they are busy explicating the poem and trying to be psychoanalysts, or perhaps just psycho.

The poem was not directed at any specific character or person. It was more a declaration.

It's probably nothing. It's probably a sample for some kind of soap or something. That being said, if it would bring peace of mind, they should turn it over to the cops anyway.

Apparently it was just a love poem of some kind. I'll give out more details later but I'm sure your attention spans are too short for you to care. Just kidding.
