You are the type of nosy neighbor that pisses the police off with 400 phone calls a year.
thats funny, ive never called the police. in fact, im the type of lazy neighbor with so much indifference towards everything that even if i heard screams from little kids and chainsaws, i probably still wouldnt do much more than post it here...so go fuck yourself. yes, im getting defensive now.
But you post something basically beginning to accuse your neighbor of touching little kids. Right...."indifferent." Whatever you want to call it man.
does this look like an extremely serious thread? was i stating names and addresses and police reports? for shits sake, i didnt even do a background check yet...sheesh
But yet you are getting defensive. If you weren't serious, why are you getting that defensive?
you're kind of making me that way. im not defensive about what i posted, if u guys dont agree, thats fine. if i had to put money on it, id say that theyre just private people. however, im very defensive that throughout this whole thread people are attacking me as a person. wouldnt you be if i said something about you, that you knew was the complete opposite of how you are? you mouth-breathing redneck fvck!....(see what i mean).
Dude... It's the internet. You make a thread, you are going to have some people on here "attack" you. It's just how it is. When this happens you have 4 choices:
A) Ignore it - This tends to work out for the most part, unless the person that "attacked" you said something extremely witty or funny. Then it will be mass-quoted with people laughing at the comment and you'll take that as more "attacks". You might be considered pwned, or a n00b at whatever your post is referring to at the time, but unless it's something EPIC, it will be forgotten within a month. If the comment wasn't witty or funny, people will ignore it and you can move on with the thread and life.
B) Make a witty comeback - This is tougher to do, but if done well will deflect people laughing at you and have them laugh at others.
C) Laugh along with them. Take your jabs and roll with them. Hell, make some jabs at yourself too. This shows you can be a good sport about things and not take the internet too seriously.
D) Get all defensive and take the attack as a personal insult questioning your character, judgment, honor, etc. This is what you are doing. This type of response tends to open you up for more criticism and insults. This will only make you post more defensive posts trying to defend your honor, but people will laugh at your attempts, pointing out your shortcomings and make you pissed off and bitter.
Here endeth the lesson.
