Last night I got back to the company shop at 9:00pm after a 14 hours work day and got into a confrontation with a neighbor 4 building down from the shop. It was odd to have a person that was in his late 40s or early 50s that couldn?t control their emotion, and wanted to have a physical fight. The a hole pushes me 3 times after he tried to run me over with his car because I stop the company truck in the middle of the road to unload tools/supplies.
1. I double park the truck on a very short dead end road in a mixed commercial/industrial/residential zone. (me bad for double parking)
2. Neighbor came home in his Volvo and refuse to go around the truck because I was double parking.
3. Neighbor speed up and drove by me real fast and his car bushed against by hip/leg as I walk to the driver side & open the door of the truck to move it.
4. I follow the a hole neighbor as he drove into his gated townhouse community underground parking garage.
5. Before, I can ask the neighbor why he would do something like what he just did, he came bolting out of his car and pushed me 3 times while cursing at me to get the f____ off his property. His wife threatened to call the cop on her cell phone which I politely said to her ?please do call the cops?.
6. I left the garage because I was getting a bit more frustrated and the agitated neighbor didn?t tell me his name when I politely asking for it?and I did try to say sorry to him for double parking. I left the garage because I didn?t want to escalate the situation to the point that I swear at the guy or flatten him for being such an a hole.
7. I asked a few people that were around for the a hole name but they refuse to give it to me (the stand by people all live in the same townhouse of 15 units).
8. My boss saw the whole thing and encourage me to call the cops.
9. I called the cops and a cop came shortly after, and took my information.
10. Cop knocks on the door of the first house that is above the garage and the woman refuse to let the cop in the garage till the cop threatens her with a charge of obstruction justice.
11. Cop asked me if I want to charge the a hole, which I decline because I wasn?t hurt and didn?t want to escalate the situation?and I want to have good neighbors.
12. Cop check out the Volvo and then when to talk to the a hole in his house for about 45 min.
13. Cop came out after the talk with the a hole and told me that he is an unreasonable very agitate able individual, therefore I should stay away from him because that a hole may have a knife next time round.
14. Cop suggest to me that I may want to park my car & the company vehicles somewhere else because it might be vandal.
Was I being stupid for trying to reason with the man or I should have charge him with assault?
