Here is the low down.

I live on a very busy street, and I do not like to park my ride out there becasue i know of at least 5 people who have had their cars hit. Where i live, its nice becasue there is a road that goes behind my house that is a 1 way street, that is not busy at all, so that is where i park. Its much easier to park there because i have a back entrance to my house.

So, i have been parking on the city street for about 6 months now. Yesterday, my girlfriend goes out to her car to find a note that says, "Stop parking your fvcking car here"

Today, when I came home from lunch, i was trying to get of my car. I got blocked in by this irate lady in her ford explorer so i couldnt get out of my car.

She starts yelling at me for parking my car on her street, which she lives about 100yards down from where i park. She said that parking on that street is for the residents only. I told her that until i see a sign saying, "no parking for jackson ave residents" then i wont park there.

She said, "I have a lot of money, i can make that happen, and i have 4 cars, and i am going to park them all here so you cant" Then she goes on to say how inconsiderate it is to park on the road. What a beeotch

The only sign on the road about parking is that there are no RV's or semi's to be parked on the road.

There are NEVER any other cars that park there. Never ever ever.

So, i wrote a nice little note that says

Listen Lady, I hav been parking here for 6 months, and i am going to keep parking here just to piss you off. I dont care how much money you have. If anything happens to any car up here, i will go to the cops. Also, if i even hear of you writing another note on a car here, i am going to take that to the cops, and file charges for harassment. You dont know who you are dealing with, and your threats to park your cars here hold less water than a paper bag.
If us parking here bothers you so much, you should find a hobby - may i suggest trying not to be a sobbing bitch.

I signed it with my full name and my phone number.

Ohhh i hope this lady calls me - even better i hope her husband calls.

What would you guys do in this situtation?

Hook her cable TV line up to an electric outlet and burn her house down.

Seriously - sending the note was a bad idea, it'll just escalate the situation. Just ignore her, keep parking your car there, and if she continues to harrass you call the police. At this point you can't really do anything.

do you have to cross someone elses property to get from where you park to your house?

do you own or rent?

I think your petty threat to involve the cops for harassment went out the window with "you don't know who you're dealing with" and "sobbing bitch"....

It does not appear that she has any recourse. However, that note was a bad idea.

Um...does this actually work? Just....out of curiosity....

generally no, there's going to be enough resistance wherever the line terminates (ie: tv) so that not enough current is drawn and thus, the wires don't heat up enough to cause a fire. Even more rare would the unit at the end of the line actually catch fire.

It would definitely fry the tv though.

If you are going to engage in a battle of wits with an idiot, be prepared to lose either way.

Doubt it. I was a reference to a thread posted here recently (that was actually a link to a thread on a different forum - somethingawful I think) where a guy's neighbor was stealing his cable, so he did that to fry his TV, and the next morning he woke up and a different neighbor's house had burned down. He thought he burned the house down.

So you wrote a note just to let her know that you're as much of a douche as she is? Nice..

If the parking isn?t zoned, ignore her. Where I live, battling for on-street parking is a war, and it?s best to have as few enemies as possible.

Don't listen to these guys. They don't know anything. The note was a great idea. Just keep in mind that she might be trying to kill you now...so watch out.

Keep parking there though... As long as the street is wide enough to park on the shoulder without causing problems, she needs to deal with it. Many neighborhoods around here are cluttered with cars on the street because there aren't any driveways for some houses. I have to park at least 2 of my cars on the street.

At my house there are 4 cars, 1 SUV, 1 Truck, and a boat. There simply isn't enough space for all of those cars to park in the driveway (only has my truck and boat in it now) So wouldn't be surprised if this happens to me soon. :p
