7 hours of googling, some trial software, and some creative routing. Knowing my luck it should be a really simple thing to do and I ended up doing it the hard way, but oh well. No it wouldn't. It would be illegal. It would be unathorized use of a computer, and the gov't is really cracking down on that kind of stuff.

If this guy didn't want people to access his router, then he should have/would have at the very least changed the default password. The documentation that comes with these things is VERy clear on how to do basic things like that.
