Nef-Con planning Thread

Um..

Good luck with that.

I'd go if I had the means to do so but that'd be pretty low on the list of places to go and reasons to do so.

seriously? Denver?

Well, where else would you want to plan it? If we can plan it in a specific area, then let's settle on that.

My mother is a travel agent and can do a group booking. I'd be willing to handle everything, including planning, the group reservations (people would of course need to mail me deposits, etc.), event planning, etc. I'm organizing this though and I'm going to make it work.

need poal / vote. I'd say no one would actually want to go to a city in the midwest, so offer options and see what atot wants.

Chicago
Denver
New Orlean
Cali city
Boston
New York
Floriduh?
Seattle
St. Louis
Mexico City
Philly

Regional/city meetups are one thing, but I'm not sure I'd be interested in paying for airfare, hotel, etc. to meet a bunch of people I don't know that well to begin with.

No love for Omaha?
If nothing else, it makes Denver seem more attractive. 😛

You should pick Chicago or something like that. It's a major hub and easy to get to for even left coasters like me.

Chicago was my thought as well, I probably won't make it anyway

Same. July is a tough month for me usually, August is better.

So I was thinking of organizing a Nationwide ATOT Meet up in Denver, CO (somewhat the center of the country) in July of next year. I'm going to pick a hotel that everyone would stay at, pick dates, and hope we get at least 50+ people.

I'm going to work very hard on organizing this. I'm also going to involve a few local Denver people, as well as other people around the country who I know would fly out to Denver for this event.

What are everyone's thoughts? I'm serious about this. So serious that I'm actually going to make it happen.

The first annual Nationwide ATOT Meetup.

You have to call it Nef-Con.

how about london?

Not sure people would want to come up over the border.

I would want to... but would be very impractical.

I am for Summertime and a Hub (Vegas, Chicago, Fort Worth/Dallas, Orlando) and calling it Nef-Con!
