Took out the motherboard, put it on an anti static bag, kept the ram, video card, and cpu in. What happen was it would turn on, and my monitor would get the Green light, but also the Orange light, would be on too at the same time
When I turn it on, all I get is a blank screen on my monitor.
sounds like you need to try the vid card in another rig.
what city do you live in?, somebody needs to give you some hands on help.
good luck
Well .... a misconnected floppy can stop a system from booting, so can a misconnected IDE drive, however you need neither, to check the '5' core components as somebody here pointed out. I'm guessing that the Vid card is probably an older 3.3V video card and his motherboard is having problems dealing with it! Try another cheap PCI (or newer AGP w/1.5V) video card in this PC with just the '5' core components (no drive yet!) and see what that gets you.
