So, by specs it says that I can have 16bg. I have 8 now. I have researched and found that I need 4x4gb sticks. This is where i lose my mind:twisted:. First, that seems to be hard to find for this model. Second, when I do it is between $500 and $800!! Other Dell workstations are WAY cheaper. Ami missing something? I would really appreciate any help guys:awe:. Following are specs via Scuzzy:

I have a T3400 as my main work computer, actually!

Here's the problem:

8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz (6-6-6-18)
DDR2 is expensive because no one is making it, and no one has been making it for a while.

Do you already have 2x4GB sticks, or are you using 4x2GB right now? In either case, you might be able to make use of 2x4GB Mushkin Silverline for $185. You could pick up two sets that would likely be OK together in 4x4GB, and you'd be under $400, but I don't know if you're likely to get much cheaper than that.
