I have professionally purchased, set up and sold CTX notebooks. Several of my customers have, for various reasons, re-installed Windows 98 on their CTX notebooks.
The difficulty they are having is that it appears that there is a proprietary video driver, which Win 98 does not contain, and which expands the desktop to fully fill the notebook?s monitor screen.
Presently they have (after Win 98?s re-installation) a smaller than desirable actual desktop display, with 1 inch of black, on all sides, surrounding the actual color desktop.
It would seem undesirable to use the CTX full re-install CD that comes with the CTX notebook, as that would wipe out all the customers custom information and files.
Are there separate video drivers, which could be installed, and which would return the notebook to the full screen desktop which it had when it was purchased ?
Model EZ Book 700 G series.
I have downloaded the CTX driver, from the CTX website and have not found intalling it to be of any resolution.
I look forward to any solutions.
