Now that I have all you adhesive experts here I need the general consesnsus on whats best to attach metal to glass. I've had a set of louvers taken off my car to be repaitned, but I can't get them to stick at all! I've tried body moulding tape, liquid moulding glue, and a couple other things. I'm thinking either maybe urethane paste or something like jb weld....or 800 packets of rearview mirror adhesive ;) Whatever it is it must be able to withstand the heat and cold a car will, plus interstate speeds ;) Rremovable is a plus....but if I have to sacrifice it for them to stick I will!

Do a search for Louvers on the internet and find a company that sells them. They will have the proper attachment. The louvers that I have installed on various cars, attached with clips under the rear window moulding. Glue? I have never heard of glueing the louvers. I will say that I did see one person who stole a louver from another car and tried to find a way to attach it since he didn't have the original mounting hardware.

Well zapster, the way they work is that you have 4 metal pads. The top two are hinged and I need to glue back to the glass, after that you screw the louvers to them. The lower two were never removed :(

Nate: it is a topic that catches your eye isn't it? ;)
