Mods, If this is in the wrong forum, do your thing.

I'm doing some work for a local non-profit org. They have a donated Presario 7596 computer. They also have an older 32" TV with only a cable input and RCA inputs(1 vid., 1 audio).

Here's my problem.

They need to be able to play DVD's and CD-ROM's on the comp. and view them on the TV.
The CD's are part of a training program and contain links to other programs on the comp....So a DVD player won't work.
The instructor has to be able to use the mouse to go through the CD's.

There is only an onboard monitor connection.

I need to find a card/cable/converter/whatever combination to accomplish this. I know(maybe not) it'll take a PCI vid. card and the space is there. Other than that, I am hapless.

TIA

BTW, This will be a dedicated machine used only for the training vid's.
If you think the audio could be an issue, I'd like your input on that as well. Would like to use the onboard outputs for it, if possible.

Money is an issue. $120.00 or less.

Does Compaq offer a TV-out add-on module for the integrated graphics? If no, your next best bet is a PCI graphics card w/ TV-out. Last resort: a VGA-to-video converter box.

There is a wide range of cards that support TV-outranging from 30$ plus like the
Radeon 9200 SE 128mb for around 35$.With that u will need to buy a connector to connect the TV-out to the TV for around 5$.

Thanks guys.
Went with a VGA-Video converter.
Appreciate it. Got my thinking in the right direction.
