Someone gave me Zsolt (pronounced Jolt) and Uitlander (pronounced Ite-lander or Oit-lander)

Anyways.... still looking for words that begin with (but don't sound like) F, L, N, R, S, or V.

Help is always appreciated.

"Tsunami" does not have a silent 't' when pronounced properly.
I was gonna point you you dictionary.com however, you are correct... there are 2 pronunciations, one as you suggested.... I guess add 'T' to the list.
There is no English "ts" sound.
When I was learning japanese I was told to pronounce it like "footsore". You get a "tsu" that way.
Tsu.
Na.
Mi.
Tsunami.

The "tsu" sound doesn't exist in English. In Japanese the "tsu" sound is usually represented as "tu", but that in English is pronounced like tulip.

Does anyone else find this to be an odd post for someone with .33 posts per day?

Llama... one of them is silent... might as well be the first one.

That's what I was thinking too.
