Need word processor with .doc

I need a word processor that can make .doc files that can be read with Microsoft Word.

It must be capable of doing the basic format functions of Word, such as 1.5 line distance (what is it called in English?).

Either AbiWord or O can do it. AbiWord is more lightweight.

Hence why I like Abiword. Granted, the entire OO suite is nice for non-word processing apps, but Abiword runs nice and fast off my USB drive.
