Need Webhosting

I currently host a few customer sites, and a few of my own sites. I use dreamhost but it's rediculously slow because their servers are maxed out. I've sent too many tickets to remember, but needless to say - I need to switch hosting companies. My budget is apprx $60/mo, I need speed.... all the normal stuff php/mysql/etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions for hosting? I think VPS is a good option. Anyone know any good companies out there?

I'd like for everyone to have seperate logins, and if they wanted to manage the domain themselves something like CPanel would be good. Any Suggestions?

I've had a very good experience with (despite the name, which doesn't inspire much confidence) QuackWeb. From 2005-2006 I had a 100Mbps line (which actually provided the full 100Mbps) on a dedicated server with them, and was nearly maxing out the 2,000GB monthly transfer and 80GB storage. It was a very good deal that we had; was only $99 (don't know if their current deals are that good).

If you go with QuackWeb, would you be willing to resell some hosting? I'm also using DreamHost right now (because of their crazy deal, but I've been with them more than a year now) and am looking to switch. I don't need a lot of bandwidth or space at the moment.

Sure Chrono... If I get one or two more customers I might be able to throw it at you for free. I'll PM you when I make a decision.

I can sell you a dedicated server for a bit more than that.

You can get a good dedicated server from layeredtech.com for about $65/mo. Check their forums for current specials going on. They usually have good holiday specials.

For VPS, I'd recommend a2b2.com. They've got servers in both the UK and US and their prices are very competitive. I've had great experiences with both of these companies.

I'm a corporate reseller for LT. If you're interested, let me know.

I've used Canaca.com for a few years now, they obviously oversell their servers, but it has yet to be a problem. I hit 1500MB of bandwidth one month, not a peep out of them, and their pricing is pretty reasonable if you pay up front for a long period (year or so). I pay month-to-month and it's about $15 for me for like 2500MB/bandwidth, 40GB of space, 5 SQL DBs, PHP, cpanel, all that good garbage.

I've used Canaca before, and they are pretty good, especially for the price. They aren't the best in terms of line speed because it's shared, so if you have multiple customers creating a lot of traffic on their websites (especially with downloads) you'll have slowdown.
