Need User Authentication Script (php)

Does anyone know of an open source user authentication script(php) that will allow a single login on the site, but also log in to other apps such as phpBB, wordpress, mediawiki, and other common php scripts?

Most scripts just control access to the directories or are added to the beginning your php scripts.

My goal is to build a front end web page that is really a front for phpbb, webcalendar, a wiki, wordpress, and several other php apps. This site is for a professional organization, and will be used for member communication, work, and information.

I appreciate any help or info.
