then it looks so far like the SWA deal is the best. Have her drive to birmingham, pick you up at the airport and then drive back to atlanta. Not very convienent but you arent gonna get there any cheaper. SWA had flights leaving austin all through the day, starting at about 7 i think.

She had a flight on reserve for $109 one way and didnt purchase it earlier today, it's gone now. She forgot that they only hold it for so many hours 🙁 sheesh....

One way Nashville(BNA) to Atlanta(ATL) (Street Atlas says 249 miles eg. about a 4 hour drive)
$51.95 (estimate about $60 with taxes and fees)

Total - $236.50

$36.50 more than you wanted to spend but you'll get to Atlanta around 3pm or so.

Found one for $216 total , currently on the phone. Leaves Austin Friday at 6:45 am gets in Atlanta at Noon. He's still on the phone.... this is cheaptickets.com I had to call to get one within 5 days.

Yah, saves you a 4 hour drive from Nashville. Though Getting in Friday at noon doesn't leave you too much time to drive it.
Other option is to have her drive to New Orleans. Southwest one way is $157.50 incl taxes.

Thats the whole point though. So she won't be alone on the road. Her car isn't a reliable Camry....wait, it is a Camry but VERY old. What guys do for girls....<sigh>

Btw, it's my EX that i'm helping drive back. We're still pretty good friends even though we broke up over a year ago. Her father is very sick and she needs to move back. I promised to take care of her.

I'll get there at noon, do quick lunch and head out. This gives me about 3 hours extra just in case.

Oh well, damage is done to my already empty wallet.
