My Pc is still not quite cutting it on the later levels of UT2004 (ones with lots of bots)

Heres what i got

AMD xp 2800
asus a7nx (think thats it nforce 2 board) delux
512 Geil Dual Channel ram (2x256)
ATI 9800 pro
Useing built in nic and sound
160 Gig WD HD
dvd-rw 4x
cd-r

What should i do. going to a gig of ram may be the ticket but i am not sure.

Yeah, go to a gig of RAM. Or turn off the "preload player skins" thingy in the options if it isn't already as it eats a ton of memory, and then you may not have to.

i'm going to second that nomination on a gig of ram. it reallyhelps for resource-hogging games (like bf1942)

Yeah ram is its only weak link. He needs 1gb.

OP:
Another thing you could do is throw a soundcard in there UNLESS you have the MCP-T on your board. If you don't have the MCP-T Southbridge, adding a soundcard will save some cpu cycles.

More RAM is the best.
I have almost the same exact configuration you have ( except for 1 gig of ram ) and i have no problem running the game

Also i have 512 dual channel now no you think the kick for buying a gig od duel channel and selling my old is worth the price over just buying a 512 and loseing the dual channel?
