Need Upgrade Advice

I currently have:

K8N Neo motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 CPU (forget which one)
ATI Radeon X800XL vid card
Rosewill RP5500 550w powersupply
WD Caviar WD2500Ks 250GB SATA Harddrive
Seagate Barracuda 7200 320GB SATA Hard drive
2GB Corsair ValueSelect 1GB DDR SDRAM
Plextor 16X dvd burner
21" Panasonic PanaSyn E21 monitor

My thoughts were:

Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6 motherboard
A Intel Quad Core?
8800 GT Vid Card
need a 3rd Hard Drive for storage 500+GB
8GB of ram :2 of these
and the monitor i'm TOTALLy confused on what to get. I want 24" or larger but I dont want to spend more than $600ish.
Is my current powersupply strong enough for all that?

I use the system mainly for web design, graphic design, and a game or 2...

yes, penryn is about 1 month way so wait. A 24" is doable for $600 ish, I don't think you can go any larger unless you are willing to go with a tv instead of a monitor (and drop to 720p).
 
X38 doesn't offer enough benefit over P35 to justify the expense. I'd go with a P35 motherboard instead.
