Just got back into TV the past year and a half after a really long hiatus.

Here are the TV shows I've watched/currently watching:

Six Feet Under (finished, amazing show)
Modern Family
Fringe
Walking Dead
Dexter
Homeland
Boardwalk Empire
Burn Notice
Game of Thrones
Newsroom
Breaking Bad
Mad Men
Louie
House (finished, really enjoyed)

Based on my selections above, can anyone recommend any shows on any network I might enjoy?

Thanks-

Just focus on Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Game of Thrones for now. Doesn't get much better than those.

The Sopranos
Sons of Anarchy
Justified

The Killing was also ok but i'm glad it ended after season 2. also would have hated watching that show on a week to week basis, but it was good watching it back to back.

EDIT:

forgot about the comedies until i saw some below.

The League
Workaholics
Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Tosh.o
Impractical Jokers

the wife & I just finished Prison Break. It was kind of silly at times, but overall pretty good.

I really enjoyed the first season. Went downhill from there but I still enjoyed completing the series.

Several of these are back on and you should be watching the current seasons:

Fringe
Walking Dead
Dexter
Homeland
Boardwalk Empire

We seem to have the same taste. New shows that I watch:

American Horror Story - cannot stress this enough, second season is looking to be better than the first and is completely different

Brickleberry - funniest comedy show on TV right now

Elementary - I like it, modern take on Sherlock Holmes played by Zero Cool

These are great suggestions, peeps. Keep'em comin.

Anyone here watch Suits? I tried to get into it, but overall, I thought the writing and characters were lame.

My Dad was the one who went nutz over that show, and wouldn't let it go until I started watching it. I shoulda known, this coming from a guy who loves dancing with the stars

i was a HUGE fan of the first season. was not a fan of how it ended though.

i've only watched ep1 of season 2 and was kinda like WTF after the episode ended, and not in a good way. it made no sense to me.

this was after my brother raved about how good it was. i did watch it after i came back from a wedding so i was pretty buzzed and tired so i am probably going to give it another go and rewatch it.

Just an aside... is Twin Peaks any good? I remember it was all the rage when it was on TV, but I never got to watch it. I'm thinking it's the next thing I watch on Netflix if folks here seem to like it.

Yea, Lucy Lu plays Holmes' sidekick (obvious name escapes me now)

I like the way they setup the relationship, you just have to watch the first episode. She doesn't annoy me in this show, not sure I have liked anything with her in it in the past.

Heh. Holmes. I will hit that up as well, shouldn't be too hard to catch up episodes, it just started.

Did you see Sherlock on BBC? Modern remake as well- Incredible show. 3x2 hour episodes per season, two seasons with a third on it's way.

I liked it. Lets your imagination ramble on. Loved it in fact.

I wasn't sure they could even make a 2nd season since everything was finished IMO. Then they stunned me by making the second season a completely different place in a completely different time and using the same actors. That kid that played the boyfriend and is now the serial killer is a great actor, and that old lady thats now a nun is such a good actress.

All around the acting is awesome and the story is awesome and I just love everything about it.

I guess each season is going to be different, season 3 will be completely different as well

Yea, and surprisingly, the writers on this one actually do a good job of having this be in the same vein. Which American shows rarely accomplish when dealing with great UK shows.
