Need to split large disc image

Made an dvd image (2.6GB) of a play I was in and would like to transfer it to my parents' G4 mac. They only have a cd drive, not a dvd drive.

My options are:
- add to or replace their drive with a dvdrw drive
- bring an external dvd drive
- split the image to cd's then just rejoin it on their machine.

I tried splitting it with winzip, but the resulting file was 2.6MB or so. I'm assuming there is some 2GB limitation with the files, but I'm feelin' clueless. Any pointers on splitting the image?

I think you can do it in Alcohol 120%

But you can also use WinRAR to split the file (I think). You should be able to select 650mb/700mb files with Winrar.

I'll give it a shot with winrar. Haven't tried the command-line only winrar for os x yet
