So I go to the post office after work to RMA my orinoco card and well the line is a mile long for taxes. I go this morning and again it looks like a 1.5 hour minimum wait. I was wondering if I could just send back the card and box by putting a bunch of stamps on it and leaving by my mail box? Will the postman pick it up and how many stamps do you think I need to mail an small and light pcmcia card? thanks

They'll likely refuse the RMA if you package it like that.

Put it inside a Priority box.

If you know how much it weighs, you can print out a paid label from USPS.com...

I think the mailman would take it out of your box. I don't think they'll take it out of the blue drop boxes, just so you can't mail bricks of anthrax to people.

Alternativly, you can get on USPS's website, register and print out priority mail postage labels. Same applys with fedex, go to their website, get an account (free), print a lable and just throw it in a fedex drop box.

I try to never hit the PO after work or during lunch. It's always a minimum of a half hour to wait :(.

yes I'll send it back in the box it was sent in but I can't get a very accurate reading of how much the box weighs. My scale only goes by lbs. and the box doesn't even hit 1 pound.

Thats good, standard Priority Mail rate should apply. Anything over 1lb is charged overage. Since you're under, you'll be fine. Most likely it will be $3.85 or $3.95 depending on the zone...
