I need to fix this PS to find out if it is the one in my Media PC that is causing interference with my cable tuner card. There is nothing wrong with the PS except the fan broke off the spindle years ago so I replaced it with another I had lying around.

I have several brand new 120mm PWM fans in my extra parts cabinet but the plug is different and all the wires are black. The fan from the PS is an ADDA AD1212HB-A7BGL that has a different plug and the wires are red, white, blue, and black. Something tells me that the only reason to have a different plug is to prevent people from doing what I am trying to do....just because they want to sell you a part or a new PS.

I found the tech page on the ADDA AD12025 series fans but there is no schematic and they are all 4 wire PWM so something tells me the pinouts are the same as any 4 wire PWM but the plug is specific to the PS.

Does anyone know anything about this? I am thinking about cutting the plug off the old fan and wiring it to a 4 pin female fan plug I have from an old extension wire and plugging in one of my fans and seeing if it actually works on the bench. It would just be nice if I had a little info first....but I'll try it if not.

Thanks
