I have a Canon SD870 that I took on a trip recently. Somehow it got knocked or smashed by something during the trip (it was in an apparently secure backpack compartment), and the LCD has a big blotch of gray stuck pixels on it now.
The camera itself works fine, but the LCD needs to be replaced. It's out of warranty so I need to look at third party options to fix it.
I found this store that sells the LCD and has a full service option, but they charge $80-90 for it. I also see a couple of ebay sellers carrying the LCD for much lower prices. This is $25 for a new one, which seems like a good deal.
Does anyone here have experience with this? How much work does it take to replace these camera LCDs?
