Need to know what type of AGP this card is

I have a GeForce2 MX 100/200 in a computer and I need to know what type of agp card is it. a 2x 4x or 8x b/c it is deying and I need to replace it thanks.

It would be easier to find a replacement if you knew which motherboard you're using.

It's a 4x card though, a bit of wikipedia searching found it in 30 seconds

You should just look at the specs of your board to see if it supports 8x agp. It would be a lot easier since there are plenty of video cards to choose from.

naww its som old gateway from 2000 its probly only 4x but all it needed was a driver updated now its not having problems but thanks any way

I'm sure its AGP 2x/4x interface.

if it's from 2000 it might be only 2x.

Hi, If I remember correctly a 2X card has a notch about 12 contacts from the front (towards the computers front) and a 4X has the notch about 12 contacts from the back of the card. An 8X card has both notches. The socket on the mother board will be blocked in one or the other of the positions. The 8X card will fit into either socket. MAYBE?, Good Luck, Jim

Go on over to majorgeek.com etc and d/l Everest Home Edition. Run it and it'll tell what you've got.

Good God, like it even matters? All you need to do is make sure you are getting a dual voltage card and it doesn't matter what AGP speed the board and card support. Otherwise, just get 1.5v or 3.3v card depending on what the board allows. Most AGP cards are dual-voltage (Two notches in the connector). The Intel D850GB was the first board that did not support 3.3v cards and, thanks to dual-voltage cards existing all along, it usually wasn't a problem unless you were a 3dfx customer.
