Need to know good type of ram

I have a dell 2400 dimension about year old. I want to upgrade its ram. I dont know a lot about these things so I need to know whats the best to go with. I have two slots for it.

Or...
Go to http://www.dell.com/ and try to find it using the right computer specs and stuff.

sorry I'm not up on the whole whats what. All I know is its a top of the line for the 2400 series and has two slots for ram.

The link has everything you need, I would spring for the 3200 memory instead of the 2700 personally

Yeah, it's probably PC2700, they always take those... The difference is speed...

PC2700 is 166MHz DDR (Double Data Rate), which equals 333MHz effective, or gives you a theoretical maximum of 2.7GB/s (hence the PC2700...)

PC3200 is 200MHz DDR, and equals 400MHz effective, which is 3.2GB/s

Standard nearly all the Dells come with the PC2700, but unless there is a great price difference, you'd better pick the PC3200...
