Need to get new headlights 9006

Anyone with good suggestions? One of my Osram Silverstar lights died this week and I'm looking for a better replacement. Budget < $60.

I recently put in a set of Sylvania Xtravisions. Pretty good lamps, they throw a good amount of light and weren't very expensive. However if you're looking for the highest lumen output, Toshiba HIR bulbs seem to be the way to go. They're not imitation ricey HID bulbs, they cast the same color light as a standard halogen just quite a bit brighter. You can get a set on eBay for around $60 shipped. A little high, but from what I've read they're the best alternative to fake HIDs.

I use Sylvania Silverstar Ultra bulbs in my Silverado and they have treated me well. As a previous user of their Silverstar series, the Ultras are much more reliable and a tad brighter. It's not a super white light, but seems to light up the road much better.

I've never used the ultra, but please STAY WAY from Sylvania Silverstar. Those last no more than 3 months. They died while I was driving at night, luckily I have foglights for temporary backup.

Exactly! My first set of Silverstars lasted like 6 months.... these Ultra have been in for like 14 months so far. Any headlight that can last 14 months in Alaska (temp range from 95F to -60F) is pretty good.
