Need to get better wireless signal downstairs.

Have 3 PC's. Mine is upstairs ( two level home ) connected strait to my Linksys wireless router. 2 PC's downstairs have wireless cards in them.

Is there a way to get a stronger signal to the downstairs area ? I added wireless antennas to the two PC's and it helped. But I was thinking of some way to add another piece of hardware that would pick up the signal then resend the signal out stronger.

Is that possible ? Or what's the best way to get stronger signal strength to the wireless PC's ?

Thanks.

I would suggest that you would read a little before you make a decision.

As an Example (quoting you): "But I was thinking of some way to add another piece of hardware that would pick up the signal then resend the signal out stronger.

Is that possible?".

You should know that the above is possible and would extend the range but it would cut the ?Speed? into half.

The following links describe variety of ways to achieve better signal.
