Need to force SBS2003 server and 1 client to use Xover Cable over the Wireless network

So you guys already know how painfully slow a wireless network connection is. I wanted to have my server and desktop communicate over the CrossOver cat5 cable first, then if that isn't available (which it will always be) to communicate over the Wireless LAN. I've always wondered how to do this, so I figured I'll learn now. Any suggestions?

I forgot to mention that I cannot disable it. The reason is the wireless link is the servers connection to the internet, and the server is the primary DNS server for the network.
