Need to extend my wireless internet

I have Pro DSL in my unit, and a netgear wireless router with 4 ports. The signal isn't strong enough to go all the way upstairs to the front unit, so i need something to extend the signal. I saw those power outlet internet extenders, or do you guys recommend something else? thank you!

Yeah you can use these thingies, would cost you close to $200 and would be very slow.

Wireless can be extented for about $40 using a unit like this in WDS Mode.

Decent price here, http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16833162173

However each environment is different and there might be an element of trial and error.

i have a netgear wgr614 wireless router, and i don't know if i can fit a after market antenna on it. does anyone know if one will fit, or do i have to get a new router?

If it is Higher in dbi it should work better.

Check the rating of the Buffalo's Antenna I think it comes with better than average Antenna.
