Hi all,
We had Mwave preassemble some Pentium D machines for a client at my work. They have been having issues with the machines crashing and what sounds like throttling. I went on site myself today, and verified that the temps are over 60C on idle and some of them can over 75C on load with 2 instances of Prime95. According to CPU-z, the cores also throttle down one multiplier from time to time. They are using the stock Intel cooler and are in a Coolermaster Centurion case with a 120mm exhaust fan. Are these normal temps with the stock cooler for these chips? What aftermarket cooler would you guys recommend?
