I really need to cool down my case. When running programs, the case temperatures rises to as high as 40c!!! I heard about cutting blowholes and all, but I really don't want to drill any part of my case. Any suggestions on how to cool it down?

Take the side of the case off. What kind of exhaust fans do you currently have?

I used up all the spaces in my case to place a fan. One 60mm exhaust fan, one 80mm exhaust, and one 80mm intake, but its weak and only acts as a hard drive cooler.

Nothing is wrong with it, its just that I don't have the tools nor the experience.

there's nothing you can do... you want something, and you dont want to do what is necessary to get it done.

anyway, you can replace the fans with more powerful fans.

leaving your side panel off just means there is a higher chance of spilling into the case. and it would ruin any circulation of air for the pc. not to mention dust...

if you have screw holes for you intake and one exhaust fans you could make or buy some 80mm to 120mm fan adapters and replace the 80s. my thought just remember the more air you move the louder the computer

If you don't want to drill, but have (and can use) a pair of "Wire" or "Side' cutters, you can usually cut out the stamped grill guards over the case fans and replace them with the chrome round fan guards. Airflow can increase tremendously from using these guards vs the stamped guards...which tend to build up backpressure and not let the air flow freely into/out of the case.

Then there's...faster fans....or FAST fans with thermal control...i.e. If the case gets hotter, the fans speed up. Other ideas are to replace the IDE cables (assuming they are ribbon) with the ROUND IDE cables to let air flow better in the case.

I will say this...I sometimes don't think the case temperature sensor is always accurate...as I've got two K7AMA boards that have a 46C full load CPU reading...while keeping a 41C case temp...which I know is not true! I can blow a full size fan on the board with open side panel and only lower it to 39C! :Q

Drive bay intake fans and PCI slot exhaust fans. Perhaps a new power supply with a bottom intake fans. If your system is stable then you probably shouldn't bother

40c is just fine. I do not see a problem.
