Need to convert SWF video files

I have some SWF tutorials that I need to convert to a more standard video format.

There are many players that will play SWF files but none that I've found that will allow me to increase/decrease the playback rate for this format.

Any freeware out there?

If I didn't know better I'd think you replied before I posted the question. :p

Thanks and looking it up now.

No SWF support in Handbrake. :(

No Title(s) found.

Your Source may be copy protected, badly matered or in a format which HandBrake does not support. Please refer to the Documentation and FAQ (see Help Menu).

Nice program, atleast once I found the buried download link after getting ad-served for about 15 minutes, lol.

Unfortunately it can't do the swf files that I have and neither can Format Factory (or vlc, which from what I understand doesn't do other swf's either.) I believe it was made in camtasia, and loaded up to screencast.com.

Super can indeed handle .swf files .. see below

SUPER © IS UNIVERSAL as it supports a wide variety of input/source file format to play
or encode (to & from) without any additional third party software.

SUPER © supports the following formats as input source file:
- Input Image Sequence: jpg, pgm, png, ppm (with sequentially numbered-ONLY filenames)
having the same filename numbered-ONLY format. Example: 0001.jpg --up to--> 0999.jpg
note that this format will NOT work name_0001.jpg --up to--> name_0999.jpg (take out name_)
- Input Video format: 3gp, 3g2, amv, asf, avi, dat, dvr-ms, fli, flc, flv, m2ts, mpg, mkv, mov
m4v, mp4, nsv, ogm, qt, rm(vb), str, swf, ts, trp, ty, ty+, tmf, viv, vob, wmv ..
- Input Audio format: aac, ac3, amr, flac, mmf, m4a, mp2, mp3, mpc, ogg, ra, wav, wma ..
- Input AviSynth Script Files: avs. To write a script and specify advanced encoding commands using AviSynth scripts!

I realize that but I get the following error for these files:

An ERROR has occured while encoding.
The most common possible reasons causig errors:

Your [*.SWF] input source file doesn't use the flv or vp6 Video Codec. It rather uses an un-supported Video Codec.

etc., etc...

I'm not familiar with SWF or camtasia/screencast.com files to know what codec it might be in, or whether or not it's proprietary.

This is an example.

What file are you trying to convert and to what format ? ?
Perhaps try this program:

http://www.freeswfconverter.com/

I myself have also done a few tutorial (golf) downloads, converted
them onto dvd. Not sure if they were .swf or some other type.

Yay! Thanks, that's the first program I've had success with converting these (linked in my above post.) It's not perfect...there are unprocessed patches, but doable. It converts others that I have (that I haven't been able to with other programs) perfectly.

Free is good, too. :) I don't mind a watermark, I've just got a lot of videos to watch and need to speed them up (the author tends talks slow, lol), which can't be done by media players with this swf format unless they are converted to something else first.
