I'm looking for an s939 motherboard that supports 4xDIMMs at DDR400. So far I have been unable to find any. Extra features (dual LAN, 8 channel sound etc...) aren't necessary. Proven reliability is. Thanks,
Considering that the a8N has a ton of extra features and no proven reliability, it may not be the best recommendation. I would suggest looking at one of the Gigabyte nForce3 Ultra boards, they seem to be pretty steady.
hmm... I was pretty much sold on the gigabyte (I'm also buying a gigabyte 6800 GT) but came across several posts warning of severe compatibilty issues. When I checked it didn't support 4x DIMMs @ DDR400 either, I'll check again though. The SLI boards are too expensive for my needs right now, and I'm using an AGP 6800 GT.
Yeah, the MSI board looks good too, a little more expensive than the others, but If thats what it takes to get the quality I'm looking for I don't mind paying extra. What is the meaning of 1T? I've come across the terminology in my research but nothing that explains it.
Well, I cant explain it either, but I have had two different sets of ram in my Asus A8V board, the adata didnt work with the 1T setting, and when I used my OCZ 3700eb's it raised my Sandra mem bandwidth scores over 1000 points from 2T.
