Need to buy new work laptops

lol, as far as rugged goes, I don't think you can get any more rugged than those Toughbook commercials

I'm quite fond of IBM's (Lenovo's now though..) Thinkpad series. I tried to get a Dell after my old Thinkpad died, but I wound up going back to another Thinkpad anyway.

The Lenovo/IBM T series have a well deserved reputation as well built laptops with unique features. They can handle minor mishaps as well but are by no means rugged. Rugged implies something that would survive a fall from a height - in that case Panasonic is the choice - but what are your people going to do - that requires this sort of protection?

As laptops go, the Apple Macbooks are well built laptops and light weight at par with the T series, and they can also run windows.

The important thing to remember is that for windows you need 3 gigs of ram.

If you insist on a laptop that is also a tablet - the Fujitsu T4200 is a model to look at. << I am not sure why this feature is useful
