I like pizza. I eat a lot of pizza. I use my pizza cutter quite often.

I've tried everything from the $12.99-carbide-edged-moondust-coated-pizza-pro to the $1.99 Walmart brand, plastic-handled, non-stainless steel cutter.

Guess which one didn't break and I'm still using? Right, the cheap one.

I like tools that don't break easily. I'm not easy on my kitchen implements; imagine hacking thru the Amazon forest w/a machete...that's how I use my pizza cutter.

Find me one that won't die on me, please.

Heavy, sturdy tool for cutting pizza, fudge, lasagne, and other foods
18/8, mirror-finish stainless steel, with stylish enamel-like handle
Thick stainless-steel blade beveled to sharp edge
Dishwasher-safe

Hmm...I just may check this one out. I've spent an easy $20 on pizza cutters in the past year. :(

The El Cheapo Deluxe version I'm still using hasn't broken yet; the blade is just dull as snot. If it weren't beginning to rust, I'd try and sharpen it.

This thing will probably last you the longest.

Ebay - Heavy Duty Pizza Cutter
No clue if it's true or not though but the guy has 1070 feedback with a 100% rating.

You know, the longer I look at that half-moon cutter, the more it makes sense.

That Ebay link...heheh...it reminds me of my ex-GFs brother. Why?

Well, he used to work at Domino's and he was a THIEF. That link looks like some kid ripped off Domino's/Papa Johns/Pizza Hut and is selling off all the equipment. :Q Won't go near that one...

Years and years ago when I was delivering pizzas for a part time job they only used those half moon cutters. Fast as hell and don't die like the roll cutters.

I've seen that the pans in the pizza shops have grooves in them that allow you to "outline" each slice. Do I need such a pan in order to use that half moon pizza cutter?

The two pans I have are the 15-inch, perforated (lotsa holes in them) $3.99 WalMart specials. They have a rim on them which might prevent/interefere with the use of the half-moon cutter.

Thoughts? I'm seriously digging that Kung-Fu Weapon-looking pizza cutter.

Why not go with the super awesome blade cutter and a nice pizza stone, as well? If you're really that into pizza, you might as well have the proper tools for the job.

malbojah's got it. And only wusses use grooves. What kind of moron can't figure out how big slices are supposed to be?

BTW, we use that kind of knife, haven't bought a new one in 6 months. And we go through 600-1500 pizzas a day (depending on several factors).

The more grease on the cutter the better the pizza tastes :p

Get a half moon cutter. I cut 300-400 pizzas a day and those things only go dull after a couple of years of that, so they should last you a lifetime. I wouldn't recommend the knife malbojah suggested, because unlike the half moon cutters those ones are utterly useless if they do go dull. With the leverage of a half moon cutter, you can still easily cut a pizza with a dull knife.

Also the half moon ones roll smoothly and cut faster. I never liked the flat knives, but have seen them used effectively.

Nope they just used the plain old pizza pans. Admittedly it takes a little practice to get up to speed on them. I rarely cut pizzas when I worked there but I was fairly decent at it by the time I left.
