You don't want an architect. They'll just give you fucked up plans that are missing dimensions, and won't square up if you manage to find enough to go around the building ;^)

basically, i was hoping they might be able to take a look at a floorplan of an office and help me utilize it properly... i figured an architect would be able to do that.

yea, but he will be able to therapeutically provide proper pressure to the locations that need to be aligned, creating a much better experience... until natural forces cause it to mis-align again... a week later, resulting in another profitable transaction for choosing this design over any other...

You don't need an architect you need a feng shui interior designer - trust me on this you'll love coming in and being there.

He is opening a clinic, so he will need permits and meet all local town/city codes.
So he best bet is an architect, so whatever he does, is all within the law.

yeah, i actually talked to the architect who owns that business and he told me the absolute headache just to get things done. frigging nightmare... but it's a necessary nightmare :(
