Need Textbook Recommendations: Physics, Calculus I

I need some recommendation on what textbooks people use. I'm especially interested in those that you personally think do a good job in teaching the subject matter. I need to get a few to study over the summer...

The books i'm interested in are Calculus I books and Calculus based Physics books.

Please share. 😀

But I'm not taking classes, so that's why I come to you guys to see if you have any suggestions... This is to learn the material, not just a book for class...

get whatever textbook, then also get the ap test study book for it, it usualy clears up stuff.

I can tell you the books I used, maybe that will help. For Physics I and II we used "Physics for Scientists and Engineers" by Paul A. Tipler. For Calc II and III we used "Calculus: A New Horizon" by Howard Anton. This book has Calc I stuff also, but we used a different, worse book for that, which I don't remember/have anyway. There are probably better books out there, but I had no major problems with either one we used.

I'm doing the same, and I've decided on the Feynman Lectures on Physics and Apostol's Calculus w/ intro to Linear Algebra. This isn't the easy way to do this, and I'd only suggest it to a person as mad as myself.

You want a good run down of Calc 1? Get "How to Ace Calculus: A Streetwise Guide".

You won't be disappointed.
