In my Sociology of Criminology course, we have an opportunity to do some extra credit.

What we have to do, is take a strong source and summarize/analyze the discussion of criminology theories that we have discussed in the course.

Her first option was to read one of the books on a list she had, but I'm not going that route. Not to mention not enough time left to devote to reading a book. :p

But, she said we could do it on a topic covered by a History or Discovery Channel show of some sort.

Or on some journal article describing a specific criminal or group and that dissects their methodology and reasons. Or something to that tune...

I haven't given it much thought, but one idea I had was a special the History Channel aired awhile back (and I think it may have been somewhat older as well). I just remember the morning started with a 2 hour special on Hippies, and then an hour-long show on marijuana and something, and then another hour show on lsd and a few other things.

Haven't quite figured out if any of those shows had anything useful regarding criminology theories, so I think I need to look for other things.

I might post a list of a bunch of theories later, need to get on with some other things at the moment.

For a nominal fee, I could tell you about the time I spent in Africa pacifying the tribes. I could go on for hours on such topics as assembly line torture, the sociological effects of public beheading, and launching humans with catapults. I even have a treatise on the usage of "the pear" a medieval torture devise. I'm sure your professor would appreciate my unique views and opinions on these matters.

You did forget, of course, how "OMG this game is sick dude!" and how it makes all movies 100x better. :p

But in all seriousness, not necessarily looking to say drugs are bad, but the crime involved with trafficking, such as gangs, and the streets yo. :p

But yeah, like I said, I had a tough time determining how I could apply any of the theories we've learned to any of that.
