I've painted the ceiling white alone with the top molding.

I want to paint the walls an off-white. The edger I have (edger) has little wheels on it, but the molding is small enough on the wall side that the wheels don't ride on the molding making the edger useless.

So, the question of the hour is WTF do I use to make the a straight line at the molding and wall intersection?

Tape it off very carefully is what I would do. I wonder what that would look like if the trim was a slightly different color too?

Different from the white ceiling and the off-white walls? Or the same as the walls?

Sorry dude, I'm not that good with a brush. If I were, I wouldn't have posted this...

"Cutting in" takes some practice, but is definitely the fastest option.

I second using masking tape. Stick it tight so the paint doesn't seep under the edge, and after painting but before the paint dries, remove it very carefully (making sure not to touch your nice paint job in the process).

If you don't have one get an ;angle/ sash' brush link. 2 1/2-3" is about right for what your doing. These are good for cutting in. Home Depot sells Purdy. Any decent angle brush will work, doesn't have to be Purdy. It's easy ,try it
