So I'm full of ideas for chest/arm/shoulder days but for the back days my routine is getting pretty dull. I pretty much just do different sets of lat pulldowns, rows, and traps.. but it's getting oolllldddd.. What do you guys usually do for upper/lower back workouts? Both muscle building and toning?

Pullups, dips, hyper extensions (i think thats the name of them), dead lifts, and squats (they use your back as well).

Pullups, chins, bent over rows and deadlifts. Face pulls and cuban rotations for rotator cuff work. If you want to tone, the key is to get a super cute fake 'n bake tan and pose a lot in the mirror--tones you right up.

I will second the suggestion for deadlifts, rows, and chins.

Toning is a myth. If you want to lose fat and increase definition, you must manipulate your diet accordingly.

I love deadlifts...other than that, we need to know what kind of rows and lifts you do. I've recently started adding in an unconventional exercise to back days: kettle bell (or medicine ball if you have one heavy enough) lift from the ground and then perform a move similar to starting a lawn-mower...extend until you're standing and your arm is fully above your head, at a slight angle. You drive a little with the legs to get it going, but it's really doing well for my shoulders, traps, lats, lower back.

Wide grip, forward grip pullups.
Back extensions.
T-bar rows.
